Darling All Original Effanbee 8" Patsy Babyette from the 1940s.
 
This is the issue with all composition head and body, with open / close sleep eyes, and articulated joints at the shoulders and hips. She as baby-like curved legs and arms; she can be posed sitting, laying down sleeping, or sitting to delight you.
 
Patsy Babyette is appropriately marked on her back, and she retains her golden paper heart wrist tag as well.
 
She is in remarkable condition writh little to no crazing, no cracks or separations,  no paint loss, and smooth and even-tone coloring throughout. She retains all painted features, and her bright blue glassene eyes have a full complement of brush lashes ... thick and even; her eyes open and close perfectly. She does have a factory flaw in her paint, a tiny wrinkle in the final coat of paint at the top left of her forehead, but it does not distract from her lovely countenance and appeal at all.
 
Otherwise she is in mint condition where the only signs of her age is a light overall patina to her wardrobe -- slip, dress, diaper, coat and bonnet.
 
This is a great little one to add "just one more..." to your composition, 1930s, and/or Effanbee doll collection.
