Rare 1930 Effanbee LAMKINS Lambkins 16" Composition Doll in COMPLETE ORIGINAL LAYETTE

ALL ORIGINAL doll with original layette and NO RESTORATION of any kind -- with a WORKING CRIER.
It's a pleasure to list another Lambkin... the MARVELOUS WONDER DOLL by Effanbee. This is the 16" LAMBKIN / LAMKIN from 1930 -- darling baby doll is in AWESOME original condition.

LAMBKINS is appropriately marked on the back of her neck, as spelled with a 'b', where her presentation box (not included with this doll) interestingly spelled her name without the 'b' as LAMKIN and without the 's' as well. She has 5-part composition limbs and head with a softly stuffed body that drapes and shapes to an infant's needs to fully express herself! She is SOFT, SOFT and SOFT... a very CUDDLY body. Her composition is nearly mint -- only a small bit of the lightest of light crazing on her arms, and one rub in her paint on one of her blushed knees. Her golden head is PERFECT with no rubs. She has a WORKING crier inside.
FACT ALERT: DID YOU KNOW... many collector's are unaware of her unusual feature -- a unique mechanism allows the doll mother to place Lambkin on her right side with HER EYES OPEN !! Lambkins can be placed in various natural positions.
Baby Lambkin comes wearing her long white cotton batiste gown, matching long slip, matching bonnet, flannel underclothes, pink crochet sweater with matching bonnet and booties, all wrapped in an added baby blue wool weave layette blanket and tied with a pretty blue satin ribbon. The gown set and flannel underwear are original to this lucky baby... she is just precious, precious, precious. She has darling little booties.... which she will probably kick off her fat little feet when she gets excited seeing you for the first time when she comes home.
Her composition is in NEARLY MINT condition -- GREAT COLORING as she would originally have come from the Effanbee factory so many decades ago now. Her cloth body is immaculately clean as would be expected -- with a small mend in the back neckline area that has been finely done; her body is clean and nice but for a rather prominent stain on her backside; other than that she is incredibly well preserved and cared for all these decades. Baby has NO odors from storage.
Her BLUE tin litho eyes are CLEAR and BEAUTIFUL! Her painted lashes and brows are, of course, perfect.
Her gorgeous plump hands, feet and legs are simply adorable. NOTE her darling "gold' ring on her left hand. She also has the RARE celluloid pink fingernails -- some Lambkins were produced with them, and some weren't; some had both finger- and toenails in pink. Absolutely amazing doll!
Baby LAMBKINS sits beautifully and poses well as she is swaddled in her blanket to keep her safe and cozy while peacefully sleeping as you await her arrival -- charming baby as there ever was; and you will LOVE her with her adorable face and chubby baby hands.
WRAPPED in her very soft wool weave blanket... all trussed up and cozy with a blue satin ribbon ... she could not be sweeter!
Her arm connectors work smoothly so you can raise and lower her arms in different positions; her head turns completely as well -- all adding nicely to her ability to pose and highlight her adorable features -- this baby has a LOT of CHARM and PERSONALITY and as the Effanbee slogan promises -- she is a doll to STEAL YOUR HEART.
