1930's Early Effanbee 20" Dy-Dee Lou Pink Organdy Dress Set
 
Gorgeous original Effanbee Dy-Dee Lou layette dress with its original pink slip. Came with the Mold 1 dolls in the earlier trunk layettes. This dress set was originally paired in layette sets with a pink silk moire coat and bonnet set that had embroidery on the collar and a wide-brimmed, double-ruffled bonnet. This listing is for the dress and sliop only.
 
The dress is made of baby pink organdy, with the matching 'princess' waist and pleated slip (to match the style of the dress exactly). The slip is in MINT condition. The dress has neve been laundered, and retains a crisp 'new' feel to the fabric and overall appearance. There is a slight patina to the white lace trim and bodice of the dress; the embroidery at the collar on one side is slightly unraveled. A good soak will probably remove the age related patina, however, I left it as it is shown here.
 
VERY VERY RARE Effanbee Dy-Dee Lou original dress. I have this dress in all the size Dy-Dee dolls it was made for, and ALL are hard to find -- but the 20" is particularly difficult.
