RARE 1930s Effanbee 9" Dy-Dee WEE Baby Doll in her retail 'shoebox' display~
 
This little Dy-Dee is the absolute smallest of the Dy-Dee family dolls... a diminutive 9" and the 'darling' of the family. Very rarely does this doll come up for sale, but here is a beautiful example of this sweet baby COMPLETE in her layette box with accessories and ALL ORIGINAL wardrobe.
 
Dy-Dee WEE has a perfect complexion... no rubs or missing paint to her face, and her dark chocolate brown molded curls show barely any wear, even to the backside... there is no disappointment here. She has brown tin-litho eyes with a full complement of lashes that are remarkably still thick and even.
 
Her original rubber body has long ago deteriorated as they all seem to have been in this particular size, and is now replaced with a lovely, soft and light colored with arms and legs that rotate easily but firmly. The body is perfect but for a small crease in the rubber at her inner elbow on the right side... barely noticeable and sturdy.
 
She comes in her original 'shoebox' type retail display box, and includes the inner tray for holding her accessories. Underneath lays her soft Esmond 'eiderdown' DY-DEE Signature Blanket -- one side is white and the other pink; soft and clean with minimal wear.
 
WEE has a wonderful original wardrobe -- all factory issued for the Wee. All clothing in excellent to Mint condition with no issues -- no stains, no weaknesses to the fabric. Her clothing includes:
