Vintage 1940s TAGGED Original Set for Effanbee 20" Dy-Dee Lou Baby Doll
One of many dress sets for your Dy-Dee that I have collected over the last 25 years. Original Dy-Dee layette set.
The set is made of lovely blue cotton organdy, and pink and blue stitching accents. Gorgeous set has a full-skirt 'baby style' dress with puff sleeves; a blue cotton slip lays underneath. Adorable added pink silk shantung 'Mommy Made' coat from a 1940s Dy-Dee pattern compliments the dress set to complete the outfit. The coat is made of pale pink silk shantung, and has some wear to it, but looked so nice with the set to finish it off. I do see a button needs tacking down, and I will take care of that before sending it out.
The blue organdy dress is in excellent, lightly played with condition, but is SO RARE to find in this color, most especially for the 20" Dy-Dee baby doll. The bonnet is in minty condition with original ribbon ties. The dress has pink top stitching, and the bonnet has complimentary blue stitching, making it a lovely, lovely set. I have added a newly made slip, and the blue stripe rayon socks.
SET includes: Dress, slip, bonnet, coat, rayon socks, and toy.
